Spring Maintenance Tips for your HVAC System
Spring is an important time for HVAC maintenance – before the intense heat of summer descends on our area, it’s good to get your system checked out and tested while service demand is not tremendously high.
Air Filter
Ensure that your air filter is clear of dirt and dust. Some air filters need to be replaced every month, some every few months – check with your system’s manual, or call us, to find out how often you need to change your filter.
Fix Ductwork
Increase your home’s cooling efficiency by ensuring your ductwork is sealed properly – leaky ductwork can lead to cool air escaping that doesn’t efficiently cool your home.
Consider an Upgrade
Outdated system? We’ll be happy to have a consultant to inspect your current HVAC system and suggest possible alternatives. Sometimes all that’s needed is a simple repair but other times there’s only so far that a minor repair will go.
Programmable Thermostat
If you don’t have a programmable thermostat, we suggest having one installed this spring. Not only will you save money by reducing the amount of energy required to cool your home but you’ll be much more comfortable!
Schedule a Seasonal Tune-Up
It’s as easy as calling our office for an installation or A/C repair. You’ll help ensure your system won’t break down in the summer months, when both the heat and demand for service is very high.
