The best ways to celebrate National Sandwich Day TODAY!
Today is National Sandwich Day! An unofficial national holiday celebrating one of our country’s most popular lunch items.
Check out the list below of places participating in this delicious day:
Subway will offer a buy-one-get-one deal on Nov. 3. Customers who buy a six-inch or a Footlong sub, plus a 30-ounce drink, will receive a sandwich of equal or lesser value for free.
Participating Arby’s locations will also be celebrating National Sandwich Day by offering their classic Roast Beef Sandwiches for 99 cents each.
Head over to Mount Washington Tavern in Baltimore, MD for their brand new sandwich the Dagwood Special. The ginormous sandwich consists of three slices of rye bread, yellow mustard, mayonnaise, ham, American cheese, lettuce, bologna, salami, pickles, turkey, Swiss cheese and green olive skewer. The creation will sell for $13.
Fact: The sandwich got its name in 1762 when the 4th Earl of Sandwich, John Montagu, a British statesman, got hungry during a marathon poker game.
